Senior Backend Developer
Job Summary
To enhance a multi-entity vehicle management system, the remote Senior Backend Developer will design and implement core platform services focused on federated authentication, data model restructuring, and API modernization.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement new domain entities and refactor existing schemas to support federated identity mapping
- Refactor REST APIs to enhance account-level, vehicle-level, and profile-level operations while integrating authentication and authorization frameworks
- Develop and execute integration and regression test plans to ensure the integrity of updated schemas, API endpoints, and authentication flows
Required qualifications
- Strong experience in backend development using Java/Spring Boot or similar frameworks
- Proven expertise in REST API design, relational database design, and schema migrations
- Experience with authentication/authorization frameworks, including JWT and OAuth
- Familiarity with cloud-based identity providers, particularly Firebase Auth
- Knowledge of payment systems and multi-tenant data models
