Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To design and scale critical rental systems, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will develop end-to-end features, lead architectural discussions, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end features for rental systems, including reservations and checkout flows
- Build scalable microservices and ensure high standards of performance and security
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, or similar technologies
- Strong experience in designing APIs and microservices
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and observability tools
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
