Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on back-end architecture and design, develop, and maintain product features using various languages
- Collaborate with stakeholders to produce high-quality, scalable software and services
- Troubleshoot production issues, coach/mentor junior team members, and work with senior leadership to drive technical vision
Required Qualifications:
- BS or advanced degree in computer science or applicable experience
- 5-8 years of software development experience, preferably at a high-growth startup
- Expertise in a compiled language such as Go, Java, or Kotlin, and proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable APIs, with knowledge of GraphQL, CI/CD, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes as a plus
- Highly disciplined approach to software design and development, with the ability to work on features independently
