Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale systems and build new features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build backend systems for core user experiences, including fantasy contests and real-time interactions
• Develop reliable, scalable, and secure APIs and infrastructure
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to code reviews and best practices

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with high-scale applications
• Proficient in modern backend languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Ability to design APIs and distributed systems
• Passion for sports, gaming, or fantasy leagues is a bonus
