Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Backend Engineer who will develop new products and capabilities on a payment processing platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, serverless microservices using AWS
• Collaborate on building and running a data lake to enhance reporting capabilities
• Refactor and modernize a legacy PHP codebase while contributing to new services in Node.js and TypeScript

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript and PHP
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, and DynamoDB
• Familiarity with Active MQ and GitHub
• Knowledge of databases, specifically PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
• Experience with Phalcon is a plus
