Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Travel Systems).

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and scale backend systems for flight deal discovery, data ingestion, and booking systems
• Lead development of backend features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Mentor engineers and drive improvements in service performance and reliability

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience in high-scale, distributed systems
• Proficiency in statically and dynamically typed programming languages (e.g., Go, Python/Ruby)
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Experience with caching (Redis) and async job queues (e.g., Sidekiq, Celery)
• Familiarity with APMs and observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, New Relic)
