Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their engineering team and develop backend services for a virtual-first cardiovascular care platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful backend services and APIs for care coordination and automation
• Collaborate with product, clinical, and operations teams to deliver valuable backend functionality in iterative cycles
• Contribute clean, well-tested, and maintainable code while participating in design reviews and technical discussions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend services and APIs
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern, statically typed language such as Rust, Go, or Kotlin
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and AWS cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools
• Understanding of service-oriented architectures and best practices for modular service design
