Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer for a 100% remote, direct hire position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and model relational database solutions using SQL technologies, ensuring performance and scalability
• Develop and debug the Data Access Layer application code in C#, optimizing SQL query performance
• Automate database deployment and maintenance tasks using CI/CD pipelines and manage Azure cloud-hosted databases

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience as a database engineer or developer-focused DBA
• Proven experience with Azure SQL Database and .NET (C# and Entity Framework)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and database automation using scripting tools
• Advanced SQL development and optimization skills, including query tuning and execution plan analysis
