Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will own systems end-to-end, from designing workflow architectures to managing AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Temporal workflow patterns for data ingestion and processing
• Architect and maintain multi-account AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Own the GitOps deployment pipeline ensuring reliable and zero-downtime deployments

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years in production infrastructure
• Deep expertise in Python and service architecture design
• Proficient in PostgreSQL, including partitioning strategies and migration safety
• Production experience with Kubernetes, including debugging and resource management
• Fluent in AWS services such as EKS, RDS, and IAM/IRSA
