Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to enhance its public-facing web presence using Ruby on Rails.

Key Responsibilities

• Write efficient and maintainable Ruby code, covering it with tests and performing manual testing
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers on project infrastructure and continuously improve team processes
• Mentor team members and contribute to the design, development, and documentation of systems

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience with Ruby/Rails
• 5 years of experience with SQL databases
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and automated software testing methodologies
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Kafka is preferred but not required
• Genuine interest in technology and a willingness to tackle complex problems
