Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of major projects and participate in cross-team initiatives for HR and Payroll products
• Contribute to product work by providing feedback and suggesting improvements based on technical insights
• Mentor other engineers and investigate improvements to the platform while maintaining the shared codebase

Required Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals with experience in shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems
• Practical experience in designing or adopting automation workflows
• Experience with Postgres or similar databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins
• Experience with Functional Programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, or Scala is a plus
