Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives
• Provide feedback and suggest solutions during product work, utilizing technical insights for improvements
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the shared codebase while debugging technical and business issues

Required Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals with experience in shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems
• Practical experience in designing or adopting automation workflows and iterating on them
• Experience with Postgres (or similar) and CI/CD tools like GitLab or Jenkins
• Ability to think in systems and define specifications clearly
• Experience with Functional Programming languages such as Elixir is a plus
