Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (EST Timezone).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end systems for the Payroll product using microservices architecture
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to implement new features and ensure alignment with the product roadmap
• Take ownership of the full development cycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, or Scala
• Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, including unit-testing and TDD
