Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Senior Backend Engineer, the candidate will design and build backend services that power core business workflows, owning projects end-to-end and collaborating closely with product, frontend, and operations teams to ensure reliability and scalability.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for core business workflows
• Own projects from early design through production and iteration
• Design clear, stable APIs and data models while improving system reliability through monitoring and testing

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years with Python
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and CI/CD practices
• Familiarity with Python web frameworks, testing frameworks, Docker, and relational databases (Postgres preferred)
• Strong focus on communication and documentation
• Experience designing stable and scalable APIs
