Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Backend Engineer focused on AI-Native development, this full-time remote position will design and build high-quality APIs and services for payment infrastructure while evolving modern engineering workflows and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build APIs and services for subscribers and payment infrastructure experiences
• Collaborate with AI tools to create specifications, generate code, and conduct reviews
• Mentor team members and contribute to the development of AI-Native engineering practices

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar distributed streaming platforms
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerized deployments
