Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer focused on high-throughput platform development, the full-time remote position will design, build, and operate foundational platforms and shared services critical to engineering teams, ensuring high request volumes with minimal latency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and infrastructure for engineering teams, emphasizing developer experience and operational ergonomics
• Architect high-throughput backend platforms capable of sustaining high request volumes with predictable latency
• Lead incident response for platform issues and drive engineering improvements to prevent recurrence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on consistency, availability, and latency
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives across teams
