Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer focused on high-throughput platform development, the full-time remote position will design, build, and operate foundational platforms and shared services that support engineering teams in delivering their products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure with a focus on developer experience and operational ergonomics
• Architect high-throughput, latency-sensitive backend platforms capable of sustaining high request volumes with predictable latency
• Develop durable event-processing pipelines and asynchronous job execution platforms to enhance feature delivery speed for product teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Demonstrated track record building and operating internal platforms or shared services for multiple engineering teams
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on consistency, availability, and latency
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++
