Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on high-throughput platform development, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and operate foundational services that support multiple engineering teams, all while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure with an emphasis on developer experience
• Architect high-throughput backend platforms capable of handling significant request volumes with predictable latency
• Lead incident response for platform issues and drive engineering improvements to prevent recurrence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on consistency, availability, and latency
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, or Scala
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives across teams
