Job Summary

Focused on unifying AI integrations, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design and build shared infrastructure for AI features, ensuring reliability and performance while working remotely across various time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the shared infrastructure for AI integrations, including model routing and response caching
• Collaborate with product teams to enable new AI features and manage backend systems for real-time processing
• Define evaluation frameworks to monitor AI feature quality and ensure reliability standards are met

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production systems
• Hands-on experience integrating and operating large language models (LLMs) or machine learning models at scale
• Experience building shared AI infrastructure and designing async processing pipelines for ML workloads
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Replicate, or similar APIs in production
• Strong systems thinking, focusing on reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency from the start
