Job Summary

Focused on high-throughput platform development, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and operate foundational platforms and shared services in a remote environment, ensuring high traffic volume management and minimal operational toil.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure for engineering teams, emphasizing developer experience
• Architect high-throughput backend platforms capable of handling significant request volumes with predictable latency
• Lead incident response for platform issues and drive engineering improvements to prevent recurrence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Proven experience building and operating internal platforms or shared services for multiple engineering teams
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on consistency, availability, and latency
• Advanced proficiency in a major backend language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++
