Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer focused on high-throughput platform development, this full-time remote position will design, build, and operate foundational platforms and shared services that support engineering teams in delivering their products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure with a focus on developer experience and operational ergonomics
• Architect high-throughput, latency-sensitive backend platforms capable of sustaining high request volumes
• Develop durable event-processing pipelines and asynchronous job execution platforms for faster feature delivery

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on consistency and availability
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++
• Deep understanding of high-throughput messaging and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka or Pulsar
