Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will lead the development of scalable backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying updated on the latest technological advancements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate, build, and lead key components of Raya's backend services
• Work closely with UX designers and data scientists to ensure comprehensive and user-focused solutions
• Navigate the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while integrating agile methodologies and best practices

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in modern software development environments with a focus on scalable systems
• Expertise in system design and architecture, particularly in Golang
• Experience building and scaling backend systems in a production environment, preferably at a startup
• Familiarity with production recommendation systems and machine learning model deployment
• Enthusiasm for adopting new AI tools and frameworks
