Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer focused on high-throughput platform development, this full-time remote position will design, build, and operate foundational platforms and shared services that enhance internal developer experience and support high traffic volumes with minimal latency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure for engineering teams
• Architect high-throughput backend platforms to sustain high request volumes with predictable latency
• Develop durable event-processing pipelines and asynchronous job execution platforms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on consistency and availability
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, or Scala
• Experience with high-throughput messaging and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka or Pulsar
