Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on high-throughput platform development, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and operate foundational platforms and shared services in a remote environment, ensuring high performance and reliability for engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement internal platform services and infrastructure with a focus on developer experience and operational efficiency
• Architect high-throughput backend platforms that manage substantial request volumes while maintaining low latency
• Develop durable event-processing pipelines and asynchronous job execution systems to enhance feature delivery speed for product teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Proven experience in building and operating internal platforms consumed by multiple engineering teams
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with a focus on consistency, availability, and latency
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend programming language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++
