Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Owning backend systems end-to-end, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, deploy, and scale APIs and services using Node (TypeScript) on AWS, while focusing on performance, reliability, and system quality in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own backend systems and infrastructure from design through deployment and scaling
• Build performant and reliable APIs and services that power financial products
• Establish technical patterns and best practices for the engineering team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in professional software engineering with a focus on backend development
• Experience building and scaling production systems using Node and AWS
• Proficient in TypeScript
• Track record of delivering reliable and performant systems at scale
• Strong ownership and accountability for system outcomes
