Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer (High-Throughput Platforms) to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for designing and building internal platform services and high-throughput backend capabilities that support engineering teams in delivering their products efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure focused on developer experience and operational ergonomics
• Architect high-throughput backend platforms capable of sustaining high request volumes with predictable latency
• Develop durable event-processing pipelines and asynchronous job execution platforms for faster feature delivery

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with attention to consistency, availability, and latency
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++
• Deep understanding of high-throughput messaging and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka or Pulsar
