Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Delivering complex systems across software, infrastructure, networking, and security, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will work remotely to design, scope, and implement high-performance software while collaborating with cross-team stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, scope, and deliver software architecture through implementation and testing, ensuring clear documentation and maintainability
• Resolve technical issues creatively across multiple layers, focusing on system reliability, security, and performance optimization
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to define requirements and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical discussions

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record in delivering complex systems
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure, and understanding of networking constructs
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-team stakeholders and deliver results with minimal oversight
• Solid understanding of system reliability, monitoring, performance optimization, and network security principles
