Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer focused on high-throughput platform development, the full-time remote position will design and build foundational services that support engineering teams, ensuring high performance and reliability under heavy traffic loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal platform services and shared infrastructure with a focus on developer experience and operational ergonomics
• Architect high-throughput backend platforms capable of sustaining high request volumes with predictable latency
• Lead incident response for platform issues and drive engineering improvements to prevent recurrence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience
• Proven track record of building and operating internal platforms consumed by multiple engineering teams
• Strong expertise in designing distributed systems with attention to consistency, availability, and latency
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major backend language such as Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++
