Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and optimizing core services and APIs, the remote Senior Backend Engineer will build scalable backend systems for desktop applications while ensuring performance, reliability, and security in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs to support thick client desktop applications
• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines for structured and semi-structured data
• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to support containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus
• Expertise in backend languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, C#, or Node.js
• Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning
• Solid understanding of concurrency, memory management, and system performance
