Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Backend Engineer will build, deploy, and monitor backend applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance features and ensure quality in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend applications, ensuring high-quality code and best practices
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and implement new features
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to enhance system reliability

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in building SaaS products or e-commerce platforms, with expertise in Python
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerized deployments
• Proven ability to design and version public or partner-facing APIs
• Familiarity with event-driven or asynchronous systems handling high transaction volumes
• Strong problem-solving skills related to production performance issues and system optimization
