Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of a cutting-edge insurance platform, the full-time remote Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, test, and maintain backend services and APIs, collaborating with internal and external partners to enhance user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to develop core systems and create APIs for user experiences
• Build internal tooling and APIs to streamline business and engineering processes
• Implement systemic changes to align existing systems with architectural goals

Required qualifications

• At least 4 years of professional experience developing backend web-stack applications
• Professional experience leveraging Go in prior roles, including a code challenge in Go during the interview process
• Track record of improving business-critical systems in terms of stability, performance, and scalability
• Ability to deliver complete systems from start to finish with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
