Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with an Agile development team to enhance the Over the Road product suite using C++, C#, and Java, while focusing on improving application value, quality, stability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and applications, ensuring high performance and reliability
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver software iteratively in a regulated environment
• Advocate for best practices in software development, including test-driven development and CI/CD processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline
• Solid experience in C++, C#, and Java development
• Hands-on experience with REST API development and server/daemon development
• Experience with cloud-deployed modern software and familiarity with encryption schemes and modern APIs
• Demonstrable experience working in Agile teams and a strong focus on delivering quality results
