Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Backend Engineer with strong Java expertise to design and maintain scalable backend systems, collaborate with frontend teams, and manage AWS deployments in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java and modern technologies
• Lead initiatives focused on real-time monitoring, metrics transparency, or web scraping
• Collaborate with frontend developers to build Single Page Applications and embedded JavaScript SDKs

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience writing production-level code in Java and familiarity with JavaScript, Golang, Python, Scala, or Ruby
• 5 years of experience building resilient, scalable backend systems using modern architectures
• 3 years of experience in metrics transparency, real-time monitoring systems, or web scraping pipelines
• 3 years of experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP) and SaaS concepts
• 3 years of experience with Git-based version control and modern CI/CD systems
