Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of AI-powered healthcare solutions, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design external APIs, evolve data retrieval systems, and create reusable platform primitives in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve external APIs and embedded product layers with a focus on stability and versioning
• Develop an agentic retrieval harness for patient and clinical search across diverse data types
• Build reusable platform components that enhance AI capabilities for external partners

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems in high-growth environments
• Proven experience designing and maintaining external-facing APIs
• Strong instincts for data modeling, particularly with time-series or high-frequency data
• Experience with distributed systems and multi-tenant architectures
• Comfort with greenfield architectural design while delivering practical solutions
