Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a dynamic engineering team, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will leverage Java technologies to design scalable systems, mentor junior engineers, and drive AI-assisted development practices in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and knowledge sharing
• Mentor junior engineers in software engineering methodologies and best practices
• Work with product teams to understand requirements and oversee execution and deployment

Required qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, and SQL relational databases
• Proficiency in designing event-driven microservices and familiarity with architectural patterns like Domain-Driven Design
• In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
• 8+ years of related experience, with a BA/BS degree or equivalent background
• Experience with AI coding assistants and their integration into development workflows
