Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing developer community, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and improve Akuity's SaaS platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers in a fully remote role within US time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and enhance Akuity's SaaS platform with a focus on developer-centric tools
• Develop server-side applications using Go and ensure scalability as the platform grows
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to implement features that simplify infrastructure operations for users

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience
• 3+ years of experience developing scalable web applications using Golang
• Experience building Kubernetes controllers or operators at scale in cloud environments
• Deep knowledge of systems design, API design, and infrastructure
• A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
