Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a confidential AI-powered FinTech client, the full-time Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer will architect secure and resilient backend systems, manage infrastructure on AWS, and ensure the integration of LLM pipelines with ERP data while maintaining high security standards, all in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the high-level infrastructure strategy focusing on uptime, scalability, and performance metrics
• Architect secure backend workflows capable of supporting enterprise-level client deployments handling sensitive financial data
• Implement and enforce security frameworks across all system layers, including encryption and access controls

Required qualifications

• Proven experience architecting distributed, enterprise-grade backend systems in production environments
• Deep expertise in AWS infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and security, including VPCs, IAM, and RDS
• Expert-level proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing strategy, and query optimization
• Strong background in security protocols, data encryption, and network isolation in a FinTech context
• Understanding of Model Context Protocol servers and integration security, particularly in relation to LLM systems
