Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a mission-driven organization, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will build and enhance scalable Golang microservices, automate operational workflows, and ensure data accuracy while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance scalable Golang microservices for eligibility, coverage, billing, and client-facing systems
• Automate and streamline operational workflows to improve data accuracy and availability
• Design self-service tools for finance, operations, and client teams to manage processes independently

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience shipping backend code in a high-quality production environment
• Proficiency in building, deploying, and maintaining microservices in production
• Experience with Golang and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
• Strong communication skills with a history of interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Champion of long-term thinking and business impact without sacrificing engineering quality
