Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To lead the design and delivery of AI-powered SaaS products, the full-time remote Senior Backend Engineer will own the architecture and technical direction for key product areas, integrating data, machine learning, and AI capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical direction for multi-tenant SaaS platform product areas
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs, ensuring end-to-end delivery of features
• Act as a technical mentor, leading design reviews and defining engineering standards across teams

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on data/ML/AI powered SaaS products
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend stack such as Node.js, Java, or Go
• Experience with Python and data analysis/modeling tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure concepts
• Excellent communication skills with a product-minded approach to engineering
