Job Summary

Passionate about backend and API development, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable systems and APIs in a remote environment, directly impacting the company's research and media platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build, and ship backend systems capable of handling millions of requests per day
• Design, implement, and optimize APIs for research and media products
• Lead backend feature development from planning to production release, ensuring performance and reliability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer with a focus on TypeScript and Node.js
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with caching mechanisms like Redis and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong background in automated testing, monitoring, and observability practices
