Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing communications infrastructure, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will overhaul email and calendar syncing, enhance voice agent capabilities, and tackle inbound conversation challenges in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Overhaul the email and calendar sync engine to improve performance and reliability
• Expand voice agent capabilities and infrastructure for live conversations
• Design solutions for inbound conversations, including call routing and specialized agents

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and experience with distributed systems such as WebRTC and WebSockets
• Deep understanding of email and calendar platforms, including IMAP and calendar APIs
• Experience with AI in real-time workflows, including live transcription and voice agents
• Familiarity with telephony systems and tools like Twilio
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and Redis
