Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance user experiences and drive business outcomes, the full-time remote Senior Backend Software Engineer will develop new features across Node.js/TypeScript backend services, optimize applications for speed and scalability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product designers to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Conduct performance tests and optimize applications for responsiveness and stability

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of professional backend software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, HIPAA, SOC 2)
• Proficiency in relational data modeling and ORM practices
• Familiarity with Docker and microservices architecture
