Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Building AI-driven user experiences, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design and implement backend APIs and services, ensuring the delivery of reliable and scalable product features in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs, services, and data flows that power user-facing AI product features
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and production monitoring
• Drive reliability and quality through observability, incident response, and performance tuning for AI-serving product surfaces

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building and shipping user-facing product features at meaningful scale
• Strong fundamentals in API design, service architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Experience working with or in support of AI/ML systems in production
• Product-minded with a focus on user experience
• AI-native mindset with excitement for agents and LLMs
