Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support a transformative healthcare mission, the remote Senior Backend Engineer will independently plan, build, and deliver features for the Thyme Box platform, collaborating closely with product teams and oncology leaders to enhance patient care services.

Key responsibilities

• Independently develop and deliver multiple features within the Thyme Box product from concept through launch
• Collaborate with product teams to scope experiments and shape new product ideas that improve member outcomes
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and technical excellence within the engineering team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building, shipping, and supporting software in production
• Strong experience with web development, particularly with stacks including Vue.js/TypeScript, FastAPI/Python, and Postgres
• Proven ability to take ownership of features from idea to production, including design and implementation
• Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage environments with a focus on iterative development
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
