Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of an operational dashboard product, the full-time temporary contract Senior Backend Engineer will implement and maintain backend services and REST APIs, focusing on Google Cloud Platform while collaborating closely with application leads and ensuring integration with existing authentication models.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain backend services and REST APIs for application modules and resource-status capabilities
• Build and maintain CSV and PDF data export capabilities
• Integrate backend services with the platform's existing authentication and role-based access model (SSO/RBAC)

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, or equivalent technologies
• Hands-on experience building and deploying backend services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong experience with REST API design and implementation
• Experience with relational databases and data warehouse technologies, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, or equivalent
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing
