Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support continued growth, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, test, and operate backend services for financial data consistency and payment solutions in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services that support payments, invoicing, and ledger flows
- Shape the technical direction within the domain, balancing trade-offs with business impact and reliability
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and sharing architectural context
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications with Java and Spring
- Strong understanding of software design principles, distributed systems, and relational databases
- Experience building scalable and resilient backend systems
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Experience with event-driven architectures, particularly using Kafka or similar platforms
