Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the design and implementation of multiplayer server infrastructure, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will work remotely to architect systems for server allocation, fleet management, and developer-facing APIs while mentoring other engineers and setting technical direction.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and manage multiplayer server orchestration, allocation, and lifecycle systems
- Design and implement deployment, scaling, and health management systems for dedicated game servers
- Lead technical design initiatives and mentor engineers through design and code reviews
Required qualifications
- Strong professional experience in backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems
- Experience supporting a multiplayer game or online service through production launch
- Strong understanding of dedicated game servers and multiplayer networking
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Ability to independently resolve complex infrastructure challenges from architecture to production
