Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design and implement scalable backend services primarily in Kotlin, contribute to frontend features as needed, and mentor junior engineers while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services following domain-driven design principles
- Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs for internal and external clients
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers to enhance code quality
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in backend systems
- Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
