Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Backend Engineer to work remotely, who will design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services using Java and serverless technologies, while also contributing to frontend components and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable shared backend services using Java and AWS Lambda
- Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven systems while optimizing existing services for performance
- Mentor junior developers and ensure high-quality code through peer reviews and automated testing
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of backend development experience with proficiency in Java and serverless frameworks
- Hands-on experience with frontend technologies such as React
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and data modeling
- Practical experience in cloud technologies, specifically AWS serverless applications
- Experience with CI/CD tools and software development best practices
