Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing fintech initiative, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will build and scale backend systems for salary advance and lending products, collaborating closely with product and compliance teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and scale backend systems with a focus on reliability and correctness
- Develop and refine APIs for an instant in-app experience
- Collaborate with product, credit, compliance, and analytics teams to shape technical solutions
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of meaningful work
- Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java
- Solid working knowledge of AWS, PostgreSQL, and ECS
- Experience building consumer-facing systems at real transaction volumes
- Fluent in Portuguese and advanced English (C1)
